Making the Father Proud

John 15:9  As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.

Ladies, do you ever think Jesus is looking down at what we are doing with this look on His face?  I know I do!  Sometimes I wonder how He could still love me with the things I’ve done.  But as this verse shows us, Jesus loves us.  If you take a deeper look, it says He loves us as the Father loves Him.  Wow!  That’s a lot of love.  The truth is, Jesus is the only one who is capable of loving us unconditionally.  Even when we scream at our kids, get snippy with our husbands, or have a breakdown over the dirt someone carried through the house with their shoes on, He loves us!

Standing in the Trials

James 1:2-4  consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.  Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

I don’t know about you, but I know I have faced some very difficult trials in my life. Sometimes I’ve been to that point where I just ask myself, What else could go wrong? How much more can I possibly take?

Ladies, I struggle. When I’m facing challenges in life, I tend to forget to focus on God because this life can be so distracting. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in the pain and lose perspective. This verse helps me to remember how God shapes us while we are persevering through the tough times.

Do We Really Need Church?

Hebrews 10:24-25  And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

I’ve heard many people who call themselves Christians say they don’t need to go to church.  I’ve heard reasons like “My relationship with God is personal“, or “I don’t need church to worship God“, and the ever-so popular “I don’t need those people judging me“.  Is this someone you know or perhaps you yourself?  If it is someone you know, how do you respond to them when they say they don’t need church?  If this is you, how do you find out what truth the Bible says about attending church?

Her Husband’s Helper

Genesis 2:18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”

Sometimes this verse speaks to me in different ways, depending on what I’m going through at the time. However, I always feel amazed at the fact that God saw an emptiness in man’s life and designed us to fill that space. We were made to be helpers, which is straight from God’s mouth. What does that mean? The Hebrew word ezer means helper and is also used to describe God as our helper in Psalm 115:9-11. Would we ever think of God as serving us because he is our ezer? Of course not. Because He is our helper; He is our support system and our partner.

Stronger with God

Psalm 46:1  God is our place of safety. He gives us strength.

Sometimes our lives become uncertain.  Job changes, marriage problems, or issues with our children have us constantly stressing.  I know I am prone to giving into exhaustion and fear of the unknown more often that I’d like to admit! It can definitely swallow us up.  Stress and worry sap your energy and happiness.

Beautiful You

Genesis 1:27 God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

I’m starting with this verse because I feel it is so important in our lives.  We all know the story of Creation, but I think we’ve heard it so often, it can lose its effect and seem more like a childhood story.

Introduction – Hello, Ladies!

Women are incredible creatures – there’s no doubt about that! We are constantly working to keep our homes, families, and even workplaces in order.

I decided to start this blog because I know firsthand how women undervalue themselves and how we struggle balancing being a Christian woman, a wife, a mother, an employee, a friend, a neighbor, a sister, a daughter, and many more roles!

It’s time we cut ourselves some slack and prioritize our time with God. I hope and pray that this blog will help you to create balance in your life, lift your spirits, give you hope, and grow your relationship with our Lord.

God Bless You and Yours,

Stephanie
