Forgiveness: What Does the Bible Say About Forgiveness?

Matthew 6:14-15  For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

The basic point of this post is that if you want forgiveness from our Father, you’re going to have to give it to others; whether you think they deserve it or not.  This is a truly difficult concept and I’ve recently had my eyes opened into what forgiveness actually is and I’d like to share that with you.

My Husband Isn’t Making Me Happy

Ephesians 4:2-3: “With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

I’ve heard so many women say this to me. ‘He just doesn’t make me happy anymore’.  Know first that I sympathize with you, and I have felt this way on several occasions. And it’s a devastating feeling.  But also know, that it is not your husband’s job to make you happy.

I could have put all of Proverbs 31 in this post, but that would get a bit lengthy.  But, if you get a chance, please head to your Bible and read it in its entirety.  It’s truly worth it.  Do you ever feel like you work so hard to take care of your family and no one even notices?  When you feel that way, remember God sees all you are doing.

Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Now, I’ll admit.  I’m a mom and a wife, among many other roles, so I love leftovers!  But when it comes to our incredible God, I certainly don’t want to give Him any leftovers!
