Fruit of the Spirit Series – Who is the Holy Spirit?

John 14:15-17 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you…”

I am starting a blog series on the fruit of the Spirit. First, let’s take a look at who exactly the Holy Spirit is. Jesus told His disciples that He would leave this world, but would not leave them alone. He was leaving them the Holy Spirit, a “Helper”, to be with us always. So what exactly does the Bible say about the Holy Spirit and how can you know if you have Him in you?

Why is God Making Me Wait?

Micah 7:7  But as for me, I will look to the Lord;  I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.

We’ve all been there.  We’ve been waiting, waiting, waiting for God to hear us, to give us some sort of sign or guidance.  Maybe you’re going through this right now.  This has to be one of the most difficult things for me as a Christian.  I think this is mostly because of how incredibly close I feel to God when I do get an answer right away.  When I don’t get an answer, I start to feel forgotten or rejected.  Have you felt this separation and perhaps even frustration?
